REC Limited has announced the incorporation of two wholly owned subsidiary companies under REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) to facilitate the development of intra-state transmission projects in Maharashtra. The newly incorporated entities are Beed Parli Power Transmission Limited and Yavatmal Power Transmission Limited.
According to the regulatory filing, Beed Parli Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on July 17, 2026, while Yavatmal Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on July 18, 2026. Both companies have an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5 lakh and are currently yet to commence commercial operations.
The incorporation follows the Government of Maharashtra’s Gazette Notification dated February 27, 2026, under which RECPDCL was appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for two intra-state transmission projects under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework. Beed Parli Power Transmission Limited has been established for the 765 kV AIS Parli substation project in Beed district, while Yavatmal Power Transmission Limited will oversee the 400 kV AIS Yavatmal (Babhulgaon) substation project.
REC stated that both special purpose vehicles (SPVs) will be transferred to the successful bidders, along with their assets and liabilities, once the transmission service providers are selected through the competitive bidding process in accordance with TBCB guidelines.
The company further clarified that both entities are wholly owned subsidiaries of RECPDCL and, consequently, subsidiaries of REC Limited under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013. REC will hold 100% equity in each SPV until their transfer to the selected developers.
