LNK Energy has achieved financial closure for Phase 1 of its planned 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility through financing from the State Bank of India (SBI), marking a key milestone in the development of its domestic solar manufacturing project.
The integrated manufacturing facility, to be established in Maharashtra, will encompass the entire solar value chain, including ingot, wafer, solar cell and module production. The project is aimed at strengthening India’s integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem and enhancing domestic production capabilities.
LNK Energy said the successful financial closure provides the foundation for advancing the first phase of the project and supports its plans to develop world-class manufacturing infrastructure for the solar industry in India.
The company acknowledged the State Bank of India for its support and partnership in achieving the financial closure and expressed appreciation to all stakeholders involved in reaching the milestone.
Once completed, the 6 GW facility is expected to contribute to India’s growing domestic solar manufacturing capacity and support the country’s clean energy and energy security objectives.
