Oriana Power Limited has secured a domestic solar EPC contract worth Rs 94.51 crore, including GST, for the development of ground-mounted solar projects across Bihar. The company disclosed the order through a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange of India under the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.
The contract has been awarded by Bellwether Energy Pvt. Ltd., directly and through its group entities BW V Energy, BW I Energy, and BW III Energy. Under the agreement, Oriana Power will provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for solar projects with a total capacity of 25.138 MW, equivalent to 31.423 MWp.
The projects will be developed across eight locations in Bihar, including Barhat, MangoBandar, Shankarpur, Murliganj, Goradih, Dhuraiya, Jagdishpur, and Manikpur. The company will be responsible for executing the EPC scope associated with these projects.
According to the regulatory disclosure signed by Company Secretary Tanvi Singh, the entire order is scheduled to be completed within six months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Award. This places a relatively tight execution timeline on the company for delivering the projects across multiple locations.
Oriana Power also clarified that neither its promoters nor its group entities have any interest in the entities awarding the contract. Therefore, the transaction does not fall under the category of a related party transaction.
The order strengthens Oriana Power’s growing portfolio of utility-scale solar projects in India. It also expands the company’s presence in Bihar’s renewable energy market and highlights continued demand for solar EPC services as clean energy development accelerates across the country.
