Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Associated Capsules Group (ACG) for a 5 MWp solar power project integrated with a 4 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Maharashtra.
The project marks Roofsol Energy’s first BESS order in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment, strengthening the company’s focus on providing integrated renewable energy and energy storage solutions for industrial customers.
Under the project, solar generation will be combined with battery storage to help ACG optimise energy consumption, enhance energy resilience and increase the use of cleaner power across its operations.
ACG World is a global manufacturer of empty hard capsules and pharmaceutical packaging solutions, serving the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. The company has been focusing on innovation, quality and sustainable manufacturing practices across its operations.
The partnership is expected to support the growing adoption of solar-plus-storage solutions in India’s C&I sector, as businesses increasingly seek reliable and flexible clean energy solutions.
