Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has been ranked as the highest ESG-scoring company globally in the Utilities sector, according to S&P Global’s latest Media and Stakeholder Analysis (MSA) review.
Following the review, AESL’s ESG Score increased to 90 out of 100, compared with 81 previously, placing the company at the top of the global utilities sector against an industry average of 41. Its disclosure-based Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score also rose by 17 points year-on-year to 90.
AESL recorded strong scores across all three ESG dimensions, with Environmental scoring 93, Social 89, and Governance & Economic 84. The company said its performance was driven by areas including product stewardship, climate strategy and human capital management.
The company said the latest assessment also corrected a previously impacted governance-related evaluation, contributing to the improvement in its overall ESG standing.
