DVC Inaugurates 8 MW Ground-Mounted Solar PV Plant at Panchet

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has inaugurated and dedicated an 8 MW ground-mounted Solar PV plant at Panchet, marking a significant milestone in the utility’s renewable energy expansion and clean energy transition.

The solar project was inaugurated by Rajesh Pandey, IAS, Chairman of DVC, on August 31, 2026. The commissioning adds renewable generation capacity to DVC’s portfolio and reflects the organisation’s focus on increasing clean energy deployment.

The Panchet solar plant is expected to contribute to cleaner power generation and sustainable development, supporting DVC’s efforts to diversify its energy portfolio. The project also aligns with the broader push to expand renewable energy capacity and accelerate India’s transition towards a greener and more sustainable power sector.
