NLC India Limited, a Navratna Government of India enterprise, has informed the stock exchanges that CRISIL Ratings Limited has reaffirmed the company’s highest credit rating for its major financial instruments.
In a regulatory filing issued on September 3, 2026, NLC India said CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed the “CRISIL AAA/Stable” rating for the company’s total bank loan facilities. The total value of these facilities now stands at Rs. 9,140.44 crore, compared with the earlier amount of Rs. 10,334.7 crore.
CRISIL has also reaffirmed the “CRISIL AAA/Stable” rating for NLC India’s Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) worth Rs. 2,500 crore.
The AAA rating represents the highest level of credit quality and indicates a very strong ability to meet financial commitments on time. The Stable outlook suggests that CRISIL expects the company’s credit profile to remain steady over the medium term.
The reaffirmation comes as a positive signal for investors and lenders, highlighting NLC India’s strong financial position and creditworthiness. The reduction in the reported bank loan facility amount also reflects a change in the company’s total sanctioned facilities compared with the previous rating disclosure.
The announcement was made in compliance with Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The filing was submitted to both the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE.
The communication was issued from Chennai by the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of NLC India Limited.
