Adani Power Transfers 2,500 MW RE RTC Contract To Adani Energy Solutions Subsidiary

Adani Power Limited (APL) has announced the transfer of its 2,500 MW Renewable Energy Round-The-Clock (RE RTC) power supply contract to Powerpulse Trading Solutions Limited (PTSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions Limited.

In a regulatory filing with the BSE and National Stock Exchange of India on September 8, 2026, APL said it had received the required approvals to assign all rights and obligations under the Letter of Award (LOA) to PTSL.

The contract originated from an LOA issued by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL) on April 2, 2026. The agreement provides for power supply over a 25-year period, beginning from the Scheduled Commencement Date of Supply.

Under the arrangement, electricity will be supplied by combining power generated from multiple energy sources while meeting the prescribed minimum renewable energy supply requirements. The RE RTC structure is designed to provide a reliable and continuous power supply while incorporating renewable generation.

APL said the transfer is in line with its long-term business strategy and will enable the company to focus on expanding its portfolio across thermal power, nuclear energy and international hydroelectric projects.

The company added that transferring the renewable energy supply contract will allow it to concentrate on baseload power generation supported by long-term contractual arrangements. This strategy is expected to provide greater revenue visibility and support predictable profitability.

The transaction also marks a strategic realignment within the Adani Group, with PTSL taking responsibility for the RE RTC contract while APL continues to strengthen its focus on long-term baseload generation assets.
