Vestas has announced two new wind turbine orders in Italy with a combined capacity of 105 MW, as part of its third-quarter 2026 order intake.
The first order, from SIMIC Group, covers the 45 MW Castellani wind project. Vestas will supply and install 10 V163-4.5 MW turbines under the project and provide a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery and commissioning are planned for the second half of 2027.
The second order, from an undisclosed customer, involves a 60 MW wind project. Vestas will supply 10 V150-6.0 MW turbines and provide a 10-year AOM 4000 service agreement. Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2027, while commissioning is planned for the first half of 2028.
The two orders strengthen Vestas’ presence in Italy’s wind energy market and add to its Q3 2026 order intake.
