Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of 10,000 off-grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra.
The order has been awarded under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and covers solar water pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP.
The total contract value stands at ₹235.92 crore, including GST, while the value excluding GST is ₹216.64 crore.
Shakti Pumps is required to execute the order within 60 days from the date of issuance of the Work Order or Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The company stated that the contract is a domestic order and does not constitute a related-party transaction. There is also no promoter or promoter-group interest in the awarding entity.
The announcement was made by Shakti Pumps on September 9, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The order strengthens Shakti Pumps’ presence in Maharashtra’s solar-powered agricultural pumping segment and adds to the growing deployment of off-grid solar pumping systems for agricultural applications.
