Oswal Pumps Limited has received a Letter of Intent from the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TREDCL) for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 46.7 MW of on-grid rooftop solar PV systems across 9,937 government schools in Telangana.
According to the company’s regulatory disclosure dated September 23, 2026, the project will cover 33 districts across the state and involve rooftop solar installations with capacities of 2 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW. The systems will use Mono PERC and TOPCon solar modules along with normal structures and remote monitoring systems (RMS).
The project has an aggregate capacity of 46,705 kW, or approximately 46.7 MW. Oswal Pumps will also provide five years of comprehensive maintenance for the installed systems. The installation is required to be completed within 180 days from the date of receiving the Work Order.
The regulatory filing places the total value of the order at approximately ₹297.50 crore, including GST. Meanwhile, the company’s accompanying press release states a quoted project value of ₹273.19 crore, excluding GST.
Oswal Pumps said the project marks its first major order from Telangana and represents an expansion of its presence into a new market. The company added that the scale of the programme reflects its technical and execution capabilities.
The rooftop solar installations are expected to support the deployment of renewable energy infrastructure across government educational institutions in Telangana and contribute to the state’s clean energy objectives.
Oswal Pumps is a vertically integrated solar pump manufacturer with operations spanning solar-powered and grid-connected submersible and monoblock pumps, electric motors and solar modules. The company also states that its products are marketed under the Oswal brand and that it is listed under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
