Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited’s renewable energy arm has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power projects under RFP No. MAHAPREIT/NCI/O&M/RFP-2/2026-27. The tender aims to appoint an eligible agency for providing comprehensive O&M services for a period of five years.
The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for the tender has been fixed at ₹1 lakh and will be refundable. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participating in the tender are exempted from submitting the EMD, subject to the submission of valid registration documents applicable to solar plant O&M services.
Bidders are required to submit a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 5% of the annual contract value. Alternatively, a security deposit of ₹1 lakh will be retained or submitted for the five-year O&M contract period, as specified in the tender conditions.
The cost of the Request for Proposal (RFP) document is ₹5,000 plus 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST), making it non-refundable. In addition, bidders are required to pay tender processing fees of ₹10,000 plus 18% GST, totaling ₹11,800. The contract will also provide for an annual price escalation of 5% over the base-year price.
The RFP download process started on October 2, 2026, at 16:00 hours. No pre-bid meeting will be conducted for the tender. Interested bidders must submit their proposals online by October 15, 2026, up to 15:00 hours. The technical bids are scheduled to be opened on October 16, 2026, at 15:00 hours.
The tender includes financial and technical eligibility requirements for participating agencies. Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹15 crore during the financial years 2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26. They must also have a positive net worth and at least five years of experience in solar power plant O&M services.
All proposals are required to be submitted electronically through the Government of Maharashtra’s e-tendering portal. The tender is expected to provide an opportunity for experienced solar O&M service providers to participate in the long-term maintenance and operational management of solar power assets in Maharashtra.
