With a power capacity of 10 MW and an energy storage capacity of 20 MWh, the system is designed to support efficient energy management, improve grid stability, and facilitate the integration of renewable energy into the electricity network. Battery storage systems are gaining importance as India expands its solar and wind power capacity and seeks solutions to manage fluctuations in renewable electricity generation.

The commissioning adds to GEON’s experience in delivering utility-scale energy storage projects. The company aims to develop solutions that address the operational requirements of modern power infrastructure and support the growing role of storage in the energy transition.

Commenting on the development, Anand Kabra, Chairman and Managing Director of GEON, said the commissioning of the Jaisalmer project builds on the company’s experience in delivering utility-scale energy storage solutions. He noted that each project involves specific technical and operational requirements, making it important to ensure that systems are equipped to meet the demands of real-world energy infrastructure.
