The Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) has invited bids for the supply of 1.65 MWp solar photovoltaic (SPV) modules for its 400 MW grid-connected solar power project in Andhra Pradesh. The project is located at Talaricheruvu, near Tadipatri, in Ananthapuramu district. The tender covers the supply, testing, packing, forwarding, insurance, transportation and unloading of the required solar modules.
The procurement offers two options to interested bidders. Under the first option, APGENCO is seeking ground-mounted, grid-connected solar PV modules with individual capacities of 320 Wp, 325 Wp or 330 Wp. The second option allows bidders to supply higher-capacity modules of 615 Wp or 620 Wp. However, this option also includes necessary structural modifications or rework of the existing module mounting structures (MMS) to ensure compatibility with the proposed modules. Bidders selecting the second option will also be responsible for installation, testing and commissioning activities.
APGENCO has specified technical and financial eligibility requirements for participating companies. Bidders must be manufacturers, suppliers or authorised dealers with experience in supplying at least 2 MWp of solar modules cumulatively during the last seven years. In addition, the bidder or its selected manufacturer must have supplied at least 500 kWp of solar modules to one plant in India that has been operating successfully for a minimum period of one year.
The financial qualification criteria require bidders to demonstrate an annual turnover of at least ₹5.2 crore in any one of the three preceding financial years, namely 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26. These requirements are intended to ensure that participating companies have the necessary technical experience and financial capacity to execute the procurement.
The tender will follow an open, two-part online bidding process through the Andhra Pradesh e-procurement platform. The first part will cover pre-qualification and technical evaluation, while the second part will involve commercial price bids.
The selected bidder will be required to complete the supply of materials within two months from the date of the purchase order. For contracts involving additional services, work must commence within seven days of site handover and be completed within 30 days.
The tender notice and schedule became available on October 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The deadline for submitting bids is November 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The pre-qualification bids will be opened on November 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM, while the price bids are tentatively scheduled to open on December 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Bids will remain valid for 180 days from the opening date of the technical bids.
The tender requires an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1 lakh plus 2% of the quoted value. Eligible Permanent EMD holders with a deposited amount of ₹5 lakh can use their existing facility. MSME bidders may also qualify for exemption subject to an official certificate from APGENCO.
The successful bidder must additionally provide a security deposit equivalent to 2.5% of the purchase order value within one month of its issuance. A Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) of 10% of the total contract value is also required, covering the entire guarantee period and an additional claim period of six months.
