The first 30 MWp of the Schornhof solar park near Ingolstadt in Bavaria will be connected to the grid today. The Schornhof solar park is the largest solar park in Bavaria. A total installed capacity of 120 MWp will be built on an area of about 150 hectares. The solar park is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2021.
Due to the size of the solar park, the solar power generated will not be fed into the medium-voltage grid. With the help of a specially constructed transformer station, the voltage will be increased from 20,000 to 110,000 volts to feed the solar power directly into the high-voltage grid.
At the same time as commissioning, Statkraft and Anumar have secured further 40 MWp, which are still under construction, via a long-term PPA. For a period of ten years, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy will purchase around 40 GWh of solar power annually and integrate it into the supply of industrial customers. Consequently, Statkraft is now marketing the entire power generation of Anumar’s solar park.
“As early as July 2020, Statkraft and Anumar laid the foundation for the realisation of the Schornhof solar park by concluding the first PPA. I am particularly pleased that we are concluding another power purchase agreement today while the first part of the plant is commissioned. We are visibly driving the energy transition forward with ambitious projects like this one,” says Patrick Koch, head of Statkraft’s origination department in Germany. The two companies have thus concluded electricity supply contracts with a volume of 90 MW.
In summer, the Ingolstadt-based solar company Anumar signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft for 50 MWp for a period of around 11 years. Furthermore, both companies agreed on a short-term direct marketing contract for 30 MWp, which will be built under the EEG.

We want to be a contact for local authorities and project developers so that projects of this kind can be successfully implemented. PPA’s are an important part of the energy transition”, explains Andreas Klier, Managing Director of Anumar.
