The 60 MW floating solar photovoltaic system on Tengeh Reservoir in Singapore- which uses 12,556 Trina Solar 210 Vertex dual-glass modules -was recently connected to the grid and is now in full commercial operation.

The project, the largest floating solar PV system in Singapore, is a global showcase of
excellent performance and high reliability. Construction of this project commenced in
June 2020.

This project is expected to remain in commercial operation for more than 25 years,
and it marks a significant milestone in Singaporeโ€™s renewable energy development.
The floating solar PV system will generate 77,259,302/Kwh each year and will offset
about 57,777 tons of carbon emissions annually. This makes Singapore one of the few
countries in the world to achieve 100% green waterworks.

Based on Singaporeโ€™s climate conditions and its strict environment protection policies,
in order to maximize energy generation, minimize environmental and water quality
impact, every component of the system was carefully designed and selected by the
project owner and the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.
Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex dual-glass modules are a perfect fit for this floating project
with its high-power generation and reliability in hot and humid climates, such as
Singapore.

Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex modules are manufactured based on 210mm diameter big-
size silicon wafers and have leading advantages such as: high power capacity, high efficiency, high reliability and high-power generation. Thanks to Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex modules, being higher efficiency and higher power, the number of panels needed for the 60MW project was less, reducing the water surface area taken up by the project.

Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex modules also save construction cost of 0.04-0.07 CNY per watt,
compared with modules that use 166mm diameter solar cells. Floating PV system has very strict requirements on componentsโ€™ functionality, safety and reliability in the water environment. The owner of this project in Singapore significantly values Trina Solar 210 Vertex modulesโ€™ bifacial and dual-glass design, highly reliable brand and worldโ€™s renowned product quality assurance, all of which ensure the system is durable enough to fulfil a service lifespan of 30 years.

โ€œThe application of Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex modules in Singaporeโ€™s floating project has
been a successful showcase,โ€ commented Zhao Lei, project leader from Trina Solar
China region. โ€œAfter the Singapore project, more and more country markets show
confidence and recognition of the quality of Trina Solarโ€™s 210 Vertex modules. Our
brand has earned its wider reputation overseas.โ€
