Following the establishment of SofarSolar GmbH, the European team is expanding rapidly to provide customers with a dedicated support and service line to help tackle any problems or issues that may arise.
Michael Klimsch joined SofarSolar GmbH to expand and optimise the service in the EMEA region. As a state-certified electrical engineer, Michael Klimsch brings more than 20 years of experience from the semiconductor and PV industry. Starting from a field service engineer, team leader, site manager up to service manager, Michael has acquired a strong understanding of customers’ needs. In his previous positions, he managed various service departments in different PV-focused companies.
In order to set a new dynamic and send a strong and positive message to our Polish customers, he dedicated his first trip to Poland to assess the current situation, get an idea of how the service worked on-site and bring a new impulse to the service department to tackle the current issues.
Following a careful review of the present set-up in Warsaw, Michael Klimsch confirmed that the service in Poland will be quickly expanded and professionalised in the short and medium-term. He also mentioned that the company was already looking for new, larger premises as well as to hire technical customer service representatives to improve the existing technical hotline dedicated to the Polish market before providing technical support to SOFARSOLAR’s customers in Central Europe in a second step.
In parallel, Michael Klimsch added that SofarSolar GmbH is working towards setting up a service warehouse that will be purely geared towards service issues, able to deliver spare parts or inverters within 72 hours and meet the deadline promised to our customers. A refurbishing centre will also be connected and set up in the same location to repair SOFARSOLAR products onsite when needed.
This will be complemented by SOFAR Academy, which already has a training centre in Rzeszów. Other SOFAR Academy centers will be set up in Warsaw, Poland and Reutlingen, Germany in the short term to train employees and customers to ensure the best application and use of SOFARSOLAR products.
SOFAR Academy provides general technical webinars as well as practical training for installers and service partners. The training is organised in convenient small group set-ups, (up to 10 participants) to ensure that everyone gets the most out of it. Each training provides a plethora of practical knowledge and skills needed to install SOFSRSOLAR products. As of now, SOFAR Academy has conducted five practical trainings and various webinars in Polish and in English connecting hundreds of participants across Poland and Europe.
The next in-person training for “Certified SOFARSOLAR installer – on-grid systems” are planned to take place on July 23 and August 6 in Rzeszów.
With the aim to provide the best service to our customers throughout Europe, we are planning to create a broad technical network, employing skilled technicians, supported by a close network of service partners all over Europe and with help of our Country Managers and local distributors to be closer to our client and all SOFAR users.
Last but not least, to celebrate the summer and solar energy, as well as to promote our Academy, we are planning in August an “Open Day” in Rzeszów where we will be connecting around a picnic and some lectures and information on SOFAR products, PV installations safety and many other interesting topics.
