The Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) tender for 1,785 MW of solar projects in Rajasthan (Tranche-IV) has received a overwhelming response from the bidders.
Around 24 bidders quoted over 10 GW of bids.
The tender was first issued in March 2021 and in May the submission deadline was revised.
The Projects were to be set up in Rajasthan on “Build Own Operate” (B-O-O) basis. SECI will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful Bidder(s) selected based on this RfS for purchase of power for a period of 25 years based on the terms. SECI will act as an intermediary nodal agency for the procurement of power generated by the developer. For each project, the minimum capacity will be 10 MW and the maximum of 1,785 MW.
The tentative list of bidders with the capacity quoted are as Acme-1785; Adani-600; O2-600; NTPC-600; Tata-500; Avaada-400; Sprng-400; Azure-300; SJVN-300; Ayana-300; ReNew-300; CIL-200; Torrent-300; Torrent-150; Aljomaih-150; Solar Arise-100; Evergreen-300; Brightnight-400; UPC-300; HES & SSICPL-600; Shirdi Sai Group-400; KS Infra-300; ITPN Industries-400; Tepsol Saur Urja-300 according to the sources.
The winning bidder will have a 60-day window to sign the power purchase agreement with SECI after the issue of the letter of award.
