TSREDCO Tenders 50 MW Residential Rooftop Solar Projects Development

Under Phase II of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Program, Telangana State Renewable Energy Department Corporation (TSREDCO) has solicited bids to appoint suppliers to build 50 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar projects. The deadline for proposals submission is February 28, 2022. The scope of work involves selecting roofs and beneficiaries, as well as establishing agreements with customers at the specified project cost and obtaining DISCOMs permissions.

MoP Issues Amendments to Short Term Power Procurement Guidelines

The Ministry of Power has issued the amendments to the guidelines for short term procurement of power (i.e. for a period of more than one day to one year) by Distribution Licensees through Tariff based bidding process. The central government had notified the guidelines for short term procurement of power on 30th March 2016, further there was amendments to the said guidelines and were notified on 30th December 2016. These guidelines have further amended to address the issue of sale of power by Generators in the market without the consent of procurer.

NTPC Issues Tender To Explore Canal-top, Floating Solar Feasibility In Tanda

To perform site assessments in order to investigate the feasibility of developing solar photovoltaic (PV) projects at its Tanda Thermal Power Project in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, state-owned power producer NTPC Limited has requested bids from consulting firms. The deadline for proposals is March 4, 2022, and bids will be disclosed on the same day. The scope of work comprises a site survey report, a budgetary offer with full measurements of the acceptable accessible area, erection methods for all areas, a sun-path diagram, civil drawings in GAD (general arrangement drawing), optimal solar potential, and an investment payback time.

Tender for Selection of Contractor for Installation of Solar Energy System in the Embassy of India, Braslia

The President of India acting through the Embassy of India in Brasilia invites Lump-sum Fixed Price Tender for installation of Solar Energy System in the Embassy of India Chancery Complex on “Turnkey/Design and Build basis”. The last date of submission of sealed bids is 17.00 hrs on 14 March 2022. Technical bids will be opened on 15.00 hrs on 15 March 2022 in the Embassy of India, Brasilia. Applicants may send their representative to be present during opening of bids after obtaining prior permission from the Embassy of India, Brasilia. The Tender shall remain valid for a period of 180 days from the date of opening or till any extended period. Defects Liability period will be twenty four months from date of completion of project.

CERC Issues Draft Regulations 2022 for Issuance of Renewable Energy Certificates for RE Generation

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has issued the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Renewable Energy Certificates for Renewable Energy Generation) Regulations, 2022. This shall come into force as stated in the official gazette. CERC makes the following regulations for the development of market in power from renewable energy sources through renewable energy certificates (REC). The National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) shall be the Central Agency for the purpose of these regulations.

REC Ltd Power Development Arm Invites Bids For Floating Solar Project In Delhi

A subsidiary of REC Limited, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has issued a tender for a floating solar project in New Delhi, for which online bids are requested from technical consultants. The proposed contact time is 12 months. RECPDCL has listed 11 agencies to compete in this restricted tender. The deadline for submitting e-bids is on February 25, 2022, till 3 p.m., and the technical bids will be opened on the same day at 3:30 p.m. The reservoir to be built will be of length 300 meters x 300 meters with 5-meter depth and water spreading area of approximately 90,000 square meters.

IFC Supports Madhya Pradesh to Develop World’s Largest Single-Site 600 MW Solar Project

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is working with the Indian government to assist in meeting its large-scale solar energy generation goals. IFC is supporting the government of Madhya Pradesh to set up the 750-MW Rewa ultra-mega solar power project. This will be the largest single-site solar power project in the world. IFC will extend its global expertise to structure and implement the transaction to help attract private investments of about $750 million. IFC’s work on this project will be supported by its partnership with Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Government of Australia.

KSEB Is Readying Development of 200 MW Wind & Solar Facilities Over 10 Dams

In light of the state government’s focus on clean and cost-effective renewable energy, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is soliciting proposals for 100 megawatts (MW) of each wind and floating solar project. All of these projects will be built in the state’s 10 dams. The government has stated that bids for wind energy projects would be opened on February 24. The electricity rate for KSEB repurchase is also set at Rs 4.10 per unit, according to the information obtained. The government has said that the 100 MW wind energy projects have the potential to produce investments in the range of Rs 800 crore. According to R Suku, bids for constructing grid-connected floating solar projects of 100 MW in the ten dams would be opened by the end of February 2022, and the department hopes to produce tremendous power generating reservoirs in this manner.

MSEDCL Seeks Developers For 445 MW Of Solar Projects Under PM-KUSUM

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Limited (MSEDCL) has issued a tender for 445 MW (AC) of solar power from decentralized, grid-connected PV projects with capacities ranging from 500 kW to 2 MW, to be developed under component-A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme. The ceiling pricing for the tender has been set at Rs 3.10 per kWh, and it shall begin within 12 months after obtaining the funding letter. The deadline for proposal submissions is March 17, 2022. MSEDCL will ink the 25 years power purchase agreement (PPA) with the winning applicant.
