The survey, construction, testing, and commissioning of a 4 MW ground-mounted solar power plant, which will be off-grid has been put out to bid, for appointing consultants by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC). The project is expected to cost Rs. 6 million.
The last date for proposal submissions is January 25, 2023, which will be revealed on the same day.
A tender fee of Rs. 3,000 is required to be provided in order to submit a bid. Additionally, bidders must provide Rs. 60,000 as an earnest money deposit.
The winning bidder will also be required to carry out the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for 25 years.
The bidder should have access to software for analyzing the location’s potential for energy production, such as PVSyst, Helioscope, or similar.
A ground-mounted solar power plant with a minimum total capacity of 2 MW for any semi-government, government, or public sector, must have been successfully completed by the bidders to be eligible for bidding.
Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years’ worth of experience working as consultants on solar power projects. And, if a firm is submitting a bid, it must have at least one employee with this level of expertise.
Additionally, a Chartered Accountant’s certificate demonstrating financial turnover for the previous 7 fiscal years must be provided and which should equal at least 50% of the tender value, i.e., Rs. 3 million.
