Sterling & Wilson Bags Rs 2,100 Crore Bid for NTPC’s 1200 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWRE), a Mumbai-based clean energy company, has announced that it has won the bid for a renewable energy project worth Rs 2,100 crore. The project is a balance of system (BOS) package for four blocks of 300 MW each in the proposed 1,200-MW solar PV project of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) at Khavda RE Power Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The aggregate capacity of the project is 1500 MW.

The bid value includes operation and maintenance (O&M) for three years and taxes. Sterling & Wilson provides EPC services for utility-scale solar, floating solar, and hybrid and energy storage solutions with a presence in 25 countries. The company has a portfolio of 12.8 GW and manages an operations and maintenance portfolio of around 6 GW.

The project is expected to provide electricity to several households and industries in Gujarat, contributing to the state’s efforts to increase renewable energy adoption. Sterling & Wilson’s win in the competitive bidding process underscores its technical expertise and experience in the renewable energy sector.
