Oriana Power has announced the commissioning of a 1 (MWp) floating solar power project in Rajasthan on Thursday.

The project was built for Udaipur Cement Works Limited (UCWL), a subsidiary of JK Lakshmi Cement, at its Dabok mine in the state.

This project is expected to produce roughly 1.7 million units of clean electricity annually and conserve around 4.4 million litres of water per year, reducing water evaporation by up to 70 %.

Oriana Power’s Co-founder & Chief Business Officer, Anirudh Saraswat, stated that Rajasthan has immense potential to become a global leader in solar energy due to its abundant solar radiation, numerous sunny days in a year, and vast barren and unutilised government and private land.

Oriana Power is a well-known provider of solar energy solutions in India, constructing and operating solar projects for its industrial and commercial clients.
