HFM Solar Commissions 1.8 MW Rooftop Solar Plants at Delhi Metro under RESCO Model

Rooftop Solar Power Developer, HFM Solar has commissioned multiple rooftop solar power plants at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, with a total generation capacity of 1.8 MW. These solar plant’s have been installed under the RESCO Model. A Power Purchase Agreement has been signed between DMRC and HFM Solar for a period of 25 years.

Dharmendra Jain, Director, HFM Solar said, We are delighted to partner with DMRC again in reducing their GHG emissions, and creating a more sustainable future through the deployment of solar energy at their facilities across New Delhi and NCR. The 1.8 MW Solar PV Plants have been commissioned at multiple Metro Stations and Depot Buildings of the DMRC. Our total cumulative capacity deployed at the DMRC now stands at 3.3 MW. We hope to increase this capacity and partner with DMRC again in the near future.

Over the past few years, metro corporations across India have been gradually shifting to clean energy to reduce their carbon footprint. DMRC has been a pioneer in the Metro Sector for Solar Power Generation & is on course to become the world’s first fully solar-powered transport system.
