PEDA (Punjab Energy Development Agency) has recently released a tender for the development of 7 MW ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects. The project is aimed at promoting the use of solar energy in Chandigarh, India. Interested bidders are invited to participate in the tender, which includes the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the solar projects.
The tender specifies that the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) required is INR 10 lakh, and a document fee of INR 5,000. The deadline for submission is May 31, 2023. The opening of bids will take place on June 2, 2023.
This initiative aligns with the Punjab government’s ambitious target of setting up 10,000 MW of decentralized, ground-mounted, and grid-connected solar power projects across India under the PM-KUSUM Scheme. The objective is to drive the adoption of solar energy and contribute to sustainable and clean power generation.
