This significant development was announced by the Chief Minister during the ‘Enviro-Ideation Hackathon’ organized by the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is actively promoting the production of green hydrogen and has taken a step forward by signing an agreement with Oil India Limited. The state government aims to adopt fuel technologies that are environmentally friendly, further reinforcing its commitment to sustainable practices.

Last month Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL), a state government undertaking, has issued a tender for the design, supply, construction, and operation of a 12 MW (AC) solar power project at Bella Ludhiarchan, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, including comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of eight years.
