Ministry of Railways Calls for Bids to Implement 1.2 MWp Rooftop Solar PV System in Perambur

The Ministry of Railways, acting on behalf of the President of India, has issued an electronic tender (E-Tender) for the supply and installation of a 1.2 MWp Rooftop Solar PV System at various locations within Perambur, Southern Railway. This initiative aims to generate and supply energy to railway installations through the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode.

Tender has set the closing date and time for bid submissions as November 6, 2023, at 15:00 hrs. Bidders are advised that manual offers will not be accepted, and any such submissions will be disregarded.

The project involves the implementation of a Rooftop Solar PV System with a capacity of 1.2 MWp. The tariff rate shall exclude taxes and levies related to connectivity and operation of the solar plants after the Commercial Operation Date (COD), with these expenses being borne by Railways. Rates quoted should be on the basic tariff rate, and any statutory levies, charges, or taxes will be covered by Railways without recovery from the Solar Power Developer (SPD) on monthly bills.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for October 12, 2023, at 15:00 hrs, providing interested parties an opportunity to seek clarification on the tender requirements and procedures.
