Hopewind, a global leader in green energy solutions, has entered into a significant distribution agreement to supply its cutting-edge 385kW utility-scale PV solution to its partner, KVK Elektrik Enerji A.Ş. This agreement was signed during the 16th EIF International Energy Congress and Energy Expo held in Turkey.
Turkey, known for its abundant sunlight resources and desert terrain, is primed for utility-scale PV projects. In 2023, the country is set to see an overall 2.2GW of new installations, with utility-scale solar accounting for nearly half of that capacity. This underscores the growing momentum in developing utility-scale solar in Turkey. Hopewind’s 120MW deal with KVK Elektrik Enerji A.Ş. aligns with this trend, aiming to meet the rising market demand.
Hopewind’s groundbreaking 385kW string inverter, launched earlier this year, stands out as a game-changer in the utility PV industry. It boasts the highest nominal power output in the sector and is well-suited to revolutionize energy generation. Equipped with advanced cooling and 8 MPP trackers, this inverter can operate at full power even in ambient temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius. It achieves an impressive maximum efficiency rating of 99.01%, making it ideal for Turkey’s hot desert terrain.
The inverter features PLC communication, ensuring seamless integration with control systems, which simplifies installation and reduces project owners’ costs. Notably, it includes a vital PID recovery function that addresses concerns about PV string degradation, extending the life of PV modules. Moreover, safety and reliability are prioritized, with built-in SPD modules providing protection against induced and direct lightning strikes, enhancing the system’s overall safety and dependability, even in challenging conditions.
