Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy, Inc. (B&W Solar), a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (B&W), has secured contracts from Cypress Creek Renewables, LLC for three 25 MW utility-scale photovoltaic solar power projects in western Pennsylvania. The installations aim to generate a total of 75 MW of clean energy, sufficient to power around 10,000 homes. Construction jobs for the projects are estimated at nearly 90, with the first project underway since November 2023 and the others scheduled to commence in March 2024, targeting operational status in 2024.
