NGEL Partners with Maharashtra Government for Green Hydrogen Project Development

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and the Government of Maharashtra have signed an MoU for developing Green Hydrogen, derivatives, Pump Hydro Projects, and RE projects, marking a significant step towards the state’s Green Investment Plan, with an anticipated investment of approximately ₹ 80,000 Crore.

This aligns with NTPC’s goal of achieving 60 GW of RE capacity by 2032. NGEL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, is poised to lead NTPC’s Renewable Energy journey with an operational capacity exceeding 3.4 GW and a pipeline of 26 GW, including 7 GW under implementation.
