MES Initiates Tender for Solar Projects of Estimated Cost Rs 9.2 Cr at Jaipur Military Station

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued an invitation for bids for solar power projects across different locations at Jaipur Military Station.

The deadline for bid submissions is March 7, 2024, with the bid opening scheduled for March 9.

The project timeline will be determined using the Critical Path Method (CPM). Bidders are required to have a comprehensive understanding of the CPM technique and must employ technically proficient staff capable of utilizing this method.

The estimated project cost is โ‚น9.2 crores, and the work is expected to be completed within 365 days.

Interested bidders need to submit โ‚น3,000 for the tender document.

Contractors not registered with MES, or those registered without meeting the standing security bond requirement, must provide an earnest money deposit of โ‚น7.85 lakhs.

The selected contractor is also obligated to submit a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the contract amount within 28 days of receiving the letter of acceptance.

Payment distribution throughout the project stages is detailed as follows: 1% upon completion of the initial stages, covering design, scheme supply, approval, and vetting; 50% after the supply, installation, fixing, and any previous payments; 75% after the testing and commissioning phase, including payments made during this period; and the final 100%, inclusive of payments throughout the project, upon the expiration of the defects liability period.

MES-enlisted contractors must adhere to MES Enlistment rules and should not have any adverse remarks in workload returns or similar reports from the relevant engineering authority.

Contractors not enlisted with MES must meet enlistment criteria related to satisfactory completion of works with central/state government/central/state PSUs, annual turnover, bank solvency, working capital, and other requirements.
