UPPCL Releases Tender for Procurement of 2000 MW Grid-Connected Solar PV Power Projects in India through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding

On behalf of Distributed Licensees of Uttar Pradesh, UP Power Corporation Limited has issued a call for proposals to procure 2000 MW of solar power from both Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) and intrastate connected solar power generating stations. The procurement contract is for a duration of 25 years.

UPPCL seeks to engage proficient Solar Power Developers to spearhead these projects, marking a pivotal step towards sustainable energy transition.

Interested parties must submit their bids by March 18, 2024, with bid opening scheduled for the same day.

The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) required is INR 9,00,000 (Indian Rupees Nine Lakhs only) per MW per project. This amount must be submitted in the form of a Bank Guarantee along with the response to the Request for Selection.

The tender fee for this project amounts to โ‚น29,500.

The bid processing fee varies according to the capacity of the project. For projects ranging from 50 MW up to 90 MW, the fee is Rs. 5 lakhs plus 18% GST. For projects of 100 MW and above, the fee is Rs. 15 lakhs plus 18% GST.

The bidder’s net worth must be equal to or exceed INR 90,00,000 per MW (Indian Rupees Ninety Lakhs per MW) of the quoted capacity. This evaluation should be based on the financial status as of the last day of the previous Financial Year, i.e., FY 2022-23, or at least seven days prior to the bid submission deadline.

A minimum annual turnover of INR 38,75,000 per MW of the quoted capacity is required for the previous financial year, 2022-23, or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.
