Solar Trade Achieves Sales of More Than 10 GW in Modules and Inverters

In 2023, BayWa r.e. Solar Trade, a photovoltaic (PV) distributor, achieved sales exceeding 10 GW across modules and inverters, bolstering its global footprint. Despite facing challenging market conditions worldwide, the wholesaler saw notable growth across all key product categories, including storage systems, wall boxes, and mounting systems, notably its own novotegra brand.

Throughout 2023, BayWa r.e. Solar Trade prioritized expanding into new markets. The wholesaler extended its reach in Europe by entering markets in Greece and Latvia, as well as expanding its presence in South America with ventures in Brazil and Colombia. These initiatives reinforced its prominent position in the international solar distribution market. Additionally, BayWa r.e. Solar Trade bolstered its warehouse capacities and established new sales offices in Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Leveraging its extensive network of over 20 distribution companies worldwide, the wholesaler adeptly navigated the challenges of the 2023 market landscape.

BayWa r.e. Solar Trade is dedicated to delivering exceptional digital experiences for its customers. Complete system configurations using the Solar-Planit planning tool are already in place. To elevate customer service and logistics, the wholesaler will improve data analysis throughout the customer journey. Additionally, the implementation of new Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) software will enable advanced forecasting in 2024.
