Revolutionizing Decentralized Energy Generation: Meyer Burger and Solarnative Forge Alliance for Premium Made in Germany Balcony Power Plant

Meyer Burger, a prominent European manufacturer renowned for its premium solar modules, and Solarnative GmbH, the developer and producer of the innovative “PowerStick” micro-inverter, are excited to announce their collaboration in the balcony power plant market segment. Their joint objective is to introduce a top-tier “Made in Germany” balcony power plant to the market, distinguished by its superior functionality, quality, and aesthetics.

Both companies share a common goal of advancing private energy transition while bolstering the photovoltaic industry in Germany and Europe. With the private PV systems market experiencing significant growth, reaching targets of annual net installations increasing from 3 GWp to 22 GWp in Germany alone, this collaboration signifies a significant step towards realizing their vision.

In the competitive landscape of plug-in solar systems, the shared balcony power plant stands out due to its unique quality features. Unlike conventional solutions where several solar modules share a common inverter, Solarnative’s system ensures individual control of each module to maximize energy yield. Moreover, the locally permissible feed-in power is not restricted by the inverter’s power value, thanks to the IntelliGate Balcony control unit provided with the balcony power plant. This innovation allows for flexible installation of solar modules, irrespective of orientation and inclination. Automatic over-the-air updates ensure compliance with increased power limits.

Meyer Burger’s solar modules, manufactured in Germany according to strict social and environmental standards, are renowned for their sustainability and climate-friendliness. They are free of forced labor and toxic substances such as lead and PFAS, offering maximum durability and industry-leading product and performance guarantees of up to 30 years.

The Solarnative app and the local server location in Germany guarantee data security, distinguishing the domestic balcony power station from those dominated by Chinese manufacturers in the segment.

Both premium manufacturers prioritize aesthetics, catering to even the most discerning customer groups.

Gunter Erfurt, CEO of Meyer Burger, expresses excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the opportunity to combine high-quality solar modules with innovative electronics to deliver a top-notch balcony power plant. Julian Mattheis, CEO of Solarnative, shares this enthusiasm, highlighting their joint commitment to offering consumers a sustainable solution for decentralized energy generation.

The “Made in Germany” balcony power station will be available in Meyer Burger’s online store by the end of March, providing consumers with an efficient and sustainable means of generating their own electricity.
