Gstar Breaks Ground on Advanced Silicon Rod and Wafer Factory in Jakarta, Pioneering Solar Energy Innovation

Gstar, a prominent player in the photovoltaic industry, has initiated the construction of a state-of-the-art silicon rod and wafer factory in Jakarta, Indonesia. The groundbreaking ceremony marks a pivotal moment in the company’s strategic expansion and commitment to vertical integration within the global solar energy sector.

Spanning an impressive 60,000 square meters, the modern facility is poised to revolutionize silicon wafer production with its fully digitalized and intelligent manufacturing processes. Equipped with advanced production equipment and technologies, the factory aims to establish itself as a leading global hub for silicon wafer production.

Key products of the facility include monocrystalline silicon rods and large-sized silicon wafers measuring 182mm and 210mm, offering promising applications in the solar photovoltaic field. By prioritizing technological innovation, particularly in large-sized, thin-film, and fine-line silicon wafers, Gstar aims to deliver superior quality and efficiency to its global clientele, thereby advancing the development of the photovoltaic industry.

Scheduled to commence production by the close of 2024, the factory targets an annual production capacity of 3GW for crystal pulling and 3GW for slicing. This substantial capacity boost is poised to bolster Gstar’s position in the global photovoltaic component market, meeting the escalating market demand and fortifying the company’s long-term growth trajectory.

Founded in 2019, Gstar distinguishes itself as a technology-driven enterprise specializing in photovoltaic power generation solutions.
