Climate Group proudly announces the addition of Ms. Gauri Singh, Deputy Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), to its India Advisory Group (IAG). Ms. Singh joins a distinguished roster of leading figures from business and multilateral institutions, contributing her expertise to advise on Climate Groupโs initiatives in India.
With over 30 years of experience in policy, advocacy, and project implementation in renewable energy and sustainable development, Ms. Singh brings valuable insights to the group’s endeavors.
Dr. Divya Sharma, India Executive Director of Climate Group, commented on Ms. Singh’s inclusion, stating, “Our India Advisory Group comprises top experts in their fields. Ms. Singh’s appointment reflects Climate Group’s commitment to collaborating with industry leaders to drive climate action forward. The India Advisory Group, a voluntary membership, plays a pivotal role in advancing Climate Group India’s ambitions by leveraging the knowledge and strategic insights of its members. They serve as ambassadors in accelerating climate action among businesses and governments in India.
Current members of the India Advisory Group include Abyd Karmali, Managing Director of Climate Finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch; Ameya Prabhu, Managing Director of Duesberg Bosson Financial Services; Dr. Shalini Sarin, an Independent Director with over 35 years of corporate experience; and Uday Khemka, Vice Chairman of the SUN Group.
