East Central Railway Launches Tender for 10 MW Solar Projects in Samastipur Division

The East Central Railway has announced a tender for the supply of 10 MW ground-mounted solar projects at various locations within the Samastipur division, utilizing a tariff-based competitive bidding approach. The cost of the tender documents is set at INR 34,810 and can be obtained online through the Bharat Electronic Tender portal. An earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 10.68 lakh per MW is required.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 26, 2024, at 11:00 RTZ, with attendance being optional for bidders. The deadline for bid submissions is July 18, 2024, at 15:00 RTZ, with submissions to be made online via the same portal. The tender opening event will begin shortly after, at 15:30 RTZ on July 18, 2024. Additionally, an ETS bidding fee of INR 10,000, excluding GST, is applicable. This initiative aligns with the Indian Railways’ broader sustainability goals by boosting renewable energy capacity within the division.
