The Argentine Energy Secretary, Eduardo Rodrรญguez Chirillo, has authorized the entry of MSU Green Energy as a generating agent of the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) through the signing of Resolution 122/2024. This authorization pertains to the company’s 15 MW Ingeniero Juรกrez photovoltaic park located in the Matacos department, province of Formosa.

The resolution permits the plant to connect to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) via the 33 kV Medium Voltage Line Ingeniero Juรกrez โ€“ Chiriguanos, which is under the jurisdiction of Recursos y Energรญa Formosa (REFSA).

As part of this authorization, the Wholesale Electricity Market Administration Company (CAMMESA) has been instructed to charge MSU Green Energy for any additional costs incurred by other MEM agents and penalties payable by providers of the Technical Transport Function (FTT) resulting from possible unavailability due to this new entry.

In February 2024, MSU Green Energy announced a 10-year power purchase agreement with the Volkswagen Group Argentina. This agreement will supply the automaker’s Pacheco Industrial Center in the province of Buenos Aires with energy from the Las Lomas and Pampa del Infierno solar parks.
