UPEIDA Invites Bids For 450-500 MW Solar Park Development Along Bundelkhand Expressway

The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has announced a tender for developing a 450-500 MW solar park along the Bundelkhand Expressway. The project, under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model, will cover 1,700 hectares of land along the expressway, with a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW. Developers must complete the project within 24 months.

The financial requirements include a tender fee of ₹11,800, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹5 lakh per MW, and a performance security deposit of ₹15 lakh per MW. Key dates include the start of bid submissions on October 30, 2024, the submission deadline on November 15, 2024, and bid opening on November 18, 2024. The clarification deadline is set for October 23, 2024.

The chosen developer will handle design, engineering, site preparation, and technology integration, ensuring regulatory approvals and grid synchronization. The project will also require the installation of SCADA and weather monitoring systems. Long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) will be established to ensure the sale of power generated from the park.

To be eligible, bidders must have a net worth of at least ₹1 crore per MW and an average annual turnover of ₹1.5 crore per MW over the last three financial years. The project seeks to incorporate proven, commercially viable solar technologies to ensure timely completion and minimize risks.
