MNRE Grants Provisional ALMM Enlistment To Additional Solar PV Module Models From Manufacturers

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has granted provisional enlistment to several solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers under its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-1. This provisional enlistment covers additional solar PV module models from three companies: Credence Solar Panels Private Limited, Unique Sun Power LLP, and Ganesh Green Bharat Limited. The final enlistment will depend on the companies meeting all conditions and guidelines specified by the ALMM Order and undergoing further scrutiny by the government.

Credence Solar Panels Private Limited, located in Rajkot, Gujarat, has received provisional approval for two additional solar PV module models. This approval follows their application for provisional enlistment, as outlined in MNRE’s order dated May 10, 2023. The company had applied for a production capacity of 500 MW per year and already has an enlisted capacity of 500 MW per year in the ALMM. However, final enlistment will only be confirmed after they comply with all required guidelines and government instructions. MNRE, the Government of India, and the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) have stated that they will not be held responsible for any losses or damages if Credence Solar’s models do not receive final enlistment.

Similarly, Unique Sun Power LLP, based in Surat, Gujarat, has been granted provisional enlistment for five additional solar PV module models. The company had applied for a capacity of 200 MW per year, though they currently have an enlisted capacity of 43 MW per year. The same conditions apply to Unique Sun Power, as they must meet all requirements set out by MNRE’s ALMM guidelines before their final enlistment is confirmed. Like Credence Solar, they have been informed that MNRE, NISE, or their representatives will not be held accountable if final enlistment is not achieved.

Ganesh Green Bharat Limited, located in Mehsana, Gujarat, has also been provisionally approved for 13 additional solar PV module models. The company already has an enlisted capacity of 131 MW per year and must fulfill the requirements to secure final enlistment in the ALMM List-1. The final approval will depend on their compliance with the ALMM Order, and the same limitations of liability apply if final enlistment is not granted.

The provisional enlistment of these additional models provides these companies with an opportunity to expand their production, but they must ensure full compliance with MNRE’s guidelines before they can secure final approval. The provisional enlistments were granted with the approval of competent authorities.
