Abu Dhabi will welcome over 40 ministers and more than 200 executives and technology pioneers from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas for Adipec 2024, scheduled from November 4 to 7, 2024. The event, hosted by ADNOC, will revolve around the theme “Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy,” marking 40 years of energy leadership.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, COP28 President, and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, is set to deliver the keynote address during the Opening Ceremony. This will be followed by a ministerial panel featuring energy ministers from the UAE, India, and Egypt, discussing how emerging economies are reshaping the global energy landscape amid unique challenges and opportunities.
Tayba Al Hashemi, Chair of Adipec 2024 and CEO of ADNOC Offshore, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Adipec 2024 will unite global industry and technology leaders to unlock opportunities that can accelerate the energy transition.”
Confirmed speakers include prominent figures such as Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Karim Badawi, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; and Hardeep S Puri, India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Adipec 2024 will also feature ten strategic and technical conferences addressing key aspects of the energy transition, including energy security, investment in low-carbon projects, and the role of AI in decarbonisation. A high-profile CEO panel will discuss the challenge of meeting global energy demands while transitioning to a low-carbon energy system.
Industry leaders such as Joseph McMonigle, Secretary General of the International Energy Forum, and Murray Auchincloss, CEO of BP, will participate in discussions on sustainable energy supply and resilience.
The event aims to bring together voices from various sectors, including technology, logistics, and finance, to foster collaboration and drive a fundamental transformation in energy and economic systems. Notable technology companies like Microsoft and Siemens will showcase insights on digital transformation, while logistics leaders and financial institutions will address the role of sustainable investment in a low-carbon future.
