TotalEnergies ENEOS and PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres Collaborate on 2.2 MW Solar Rooftop Project to Support Indonesia’s Renewable Energy Goals

TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully installed a 2.2 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar rooftop system at PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres’ facility in Bandung, Indonesia, marking a significant milestone in the country’s transition toward renewable energy. PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres, a leading producer of chocolate confectionery products in Indonesia, will now source approximately 9% of its electricity needs from renewable sources, thanks to this newly commissioned photovoltaic (PV) system.

The installation consists of over 3,700 solar modules, designed to generate around 3,250 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually. This initiative is projected to reduce Ceres’ carbon footprint by about 2,600 tons of CO₂ per year, which is equivalent to removing approximately 560 cars from the road or planting over 39,000 trees. Under the 15-year agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS will fully fund, install, and manage the solar PV system, enabling PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres to achieve substantial cost savings by only paying for the generated power without any upfront investment.

Nancy Florencia, President Director of PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres, emphasized the company’s commitment to a sustainable future, noting that this project aligns with Indonesia’s net-zero emissions goal by 2060. Alexandru Buzatu, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pacific, expressed excitement about helping PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres reduce both energy costs and carbon emissions. He highlighted TotalEnergies ENEOS’s dedication to supporting commercial and industrial clients across Asia with innovative, long-term solutions for decarbonization.
