O2 Power Takes The Lead With 800MWh Battery Storage Project In Rajasthan

O2 Power, a leading renewable energy platform in India, has secured an 800 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project through competitive bidding by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) โ€“ FDRE VI. The project includes an 800 MWh BESS with a strategic combination of solar and other components to ensure power availability during non-solar peak hours.

Strategically located near an operational CTUIL substation in Rajasthan, it takes advantage of the region’s abundant solar and land resources while utilizing existing evacuation infrastructure to reduce delays. This project will be commissioned within 24 months of PPA signing, supporting the governmentโ€™s renewable energy targets and reinforcing O2 Powerโ€™s commitment to advancing clean energy solutions in India.
