Masdar Targets 100 GW of Clean Energy Capacity by 2030

Fatima Al Suwaidi, Head of Development & Investment (APAC) at Masdar, announced the company’s ambitious target to achieve 100 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy capacity globally by 2030. The statement was made during the ongoing Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025.

โ€œThis ambitious target underscores Masdar’s commitment to accelerating the global transition to clean energy and contributing to climate neutrality,โ€ Al Suwaidi remarked.

Masdar has solidified its position as a global leader in the clean energy sector, playing a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s energy objectives. “We play a vital role in advancing the UAE’s clean energy ambitions and are a key contributor to the nation’s commitment to climate neutrality,” she added.

Over the past few years, Masdar has made significant strides, successfully developing and implementing over 31 GW of clean energy projects across more than 40 countries. The company doubled its production capacity in 2024, further strengthening its contribution to global sustainability goals.
