SJVN Invites Bids For Rooftop Solar Projects In Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, And Arunachal Pradesh Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

SJVN Limited, a Navratna CPSU under the Government of India, has invited bids for the selection of channel partners for the supply, installation, and comprehensive maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems in residential buildings under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. This initiative aims to accelerate rooftop solar adoption in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Arunachal Pradesh, supporting India’s renewable energy targets.

For Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, the bid document number is SJVN/RTS/2024-25/Rooftop Solar-3, while for Arunachal Pradesh, it is SJVN/RTS/2024-25/Rooftop Solar-4. The tender process follows a single-stage, two-envelope bidding system, requiring both techno-commercial and price bid submissions. The bidding process is conducted online through the e-tendering portal.

The cost of the bid document is ₹5,900, and the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) varies by state. Bidders for Himachal Pradesh must submit ₹1,10,000, for Punjab ₹1,00,000, and both states ₹2,10,000. For Arunachal Pradesh, the EMD is ₹1,10,000. The deadline for bid submission is January 7, 2025, with the opening of technical bids scheduled for the same day. The bid validity period is 180 days from the submission deadline.

Selected channel partners will be responsible for identifying potential beneficiaries, conducting site visits, installing the systems, and ensuring five years of maintenance. They will also facilitate subsidy disbursal and coordinate with EPC vendors and distribution companies. A total of six-channel partners will be selected for Himachal Pradesh, eight for Punjab, and six for Arunachal Pradesh, based on the lowest evaluated price.

The initiative aligns with India’s goal of promoting solar energy adoption, ensuring quality installations, and providing financial assistance to consumers. SJVN has committed to monitoring project performance, assisting with approvals, and verifying system compliance to ensure the scheme’s successful implementation.
