Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services (BAFS) is intensifying its investments in renewable energy as part of its strategic response to evolving global market conditions. Under the leadership of CEO M.L. Nathasit Diskul, the company is accelerating its transition towards clean energy while expanding its fuel distribution infrastructure.
Renewable Energy Expansion
BAFS has acquired solar power plants in Thailand and Japan, with a total installed capacity of 49.4 megawatts, signaling a move to diversify its energy portfolio and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Additionally, the company has entered strategic partnerships to develop sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Collaborations with Energy Absolute Plc and Mitr Phol Co are aimed at advancing SAF production to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly aviation solutions.
Market Adaptation and Growth Strategy
Diskul emphasized that recent policy changes, particularly in the United States, have contributed to market volatility, influencing global business strategies. By leveraging these shifts, BAFS aims to strengthen its presence in the clean energy sector and capitalize on investment opportunities in the renewable energy landscape.
Fuel Infrastructure Development
Beyond its clean energy initiatives, BAFS has expanded its fuel pipeline infrastructure. The company recently completed the extension of the Northern Fuel Pipeline Transportation System, which now stretches 576 kilometers from Bang Pa-In to Lampang, enhancing fuel distribution efficiency across the region.
