Avangrid Strengthens Hispanic Community Outreach With Texas Roundtable Event

Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and part of the Iberdrola Group, hosted a Hispanic roundtable at the CERAWeek energy conference in Houston, Texas, led by CEO Pedro Azagra. The event brought together business and community leaders, nonprofits, and a former ambassador to discuss ways to help underserved communities gain better access to education, funding, and skills for career growth.

This initiative follows Avangrid’s first Hispanic roundtable held in Connecticut and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to empowering underserved communities. By creating these spaces for dialogue, Avangrid aims to ensure that Hispanic voices are heard in shaping policies that impact their lives. The company also plans to expand these discussions with additional roundtables across the 23 states where it operates later this year.

In addition to hosting these roundtables, Avangrid recently became a member of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, and CEO Pedro Azagra joined the Board of Trustees at the National Hispanic Energy Council.
