Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has reported record-breaking rooftop solar growth in Q1 FY26. The company completed 45,589 rooftop solar installations during the quarterโ€”a 416% year-on-year increase from 8,838 installations in Q1 FY25.

This performance brings TPRELโ€™s total rooftop solar installations across India to over 2,04,000, with a cumulative capacity exceeding 3.4 GW. The milestone reflects the companyโ€™s significant contribution to Indiaโ€™s renewable energy goals and its leadership in decentralised solar deployment.

TPREL’s growth aligns with national targets, including the governmentโ€™s aim of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The companyโ€™s efforts are also closely tied to the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, advancing solar adoption through its Ghar Ghar Solar campaign.

With a network of 604 channel partners across 400+ cities and 240 authorized service partners in 560 cities, TPREL has built a robust national service presence. Its customer base now exceeds 2 lakh, including over 1.8 lakh residential users.
