As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and ongoing commitment to clean energy, TotalEnergies Jordan has made a significant in-kind donation of over 800 solar panels to support operational and developmental initiatives led by the Jordan Food Bank, Tkiyet Um Ali, and the Dar Abu Abdullah Association.

The donation includes approximately 115 solar panels allocated to the Jordan Food Bank. These panels are intended to power the organizationโ€™s core facilities, including its charity supermarket and administrative offices, potentially reducing energy costs and enhancing efficiency. Installation and activation of the system will be subject to the successful acquisition of required funding.

In a broader commitment, TotalEnergies Jordan also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tkiyet Um Ali to provide 720 solar panels for future projects implemented by Dar Abu Abdullah in collaboration with Tkiyet Um Ali. The panels will be deployed based on program needs and rollout schedules.

Franรงois Decherf, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Jordan, highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative, stating, โ€œSupporting renewable energy is a core pillar of our social responsibility agenda. We are proud to contribute to projects that not only serve humanitarian causes but also advance environmental sustainability.โ€

Dr. Kawthar Al-Qatarneh, Director General of the Jordan Food Bank, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting its impact on expanding services and lowering reliance on conventional energy sources.

Similarly, Samer Balkar, Director General of Tkiyet Um Ali, thanked TotalEnergies for its support. โ€œThis initiative strengthens our infrastructure and that of our partners, allowing us to adopt clean energy solutions that help ensure the sustainability of our humanitarian mission,โ€ he said.

This initiative aligns with Jordanโ€™s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of clean energy and community empowerment. It reflects TotalEnergiesโ€™ global vision of investing in projects that support local communities while addressing climate and sustainability priorities.
