The Guayepo III Photovoltaic Project in Colombia, built by POWERCHINA, achieved full grid connection on October 7—six days ahead of schedule—setting a new milestone for the company’s operations across the Americas.

Despite challenges posed by two consecutive rainy seasons during the electromechanical installation phase, the project team successfully advanced construction through meticulous planning and precise coordination. POWERCHINA adopted a hybrid “self-operation + subcontracting” model, optimizing resource allocation, process control, and execution efficiency to maintain strong project momentum.

The team placed a strong focus on quality management by implementing a standardized closed-loop inspection and rectification system. Continuous optimization and experience sharing ensured construction excellence and contributed to the early completion milestone.

Once operational, the Guayepo III project will supply approximately 183 million kWh of clean energy annually—meeting local power demand and supporting Colombia’s energy transition and emission reduction goals.

The early completion of Guayepo III reflects POWERCHINA’s commitment to efficiency, scientific management, and delivery excellence in the Americas, setting a strong example for future regional projects.
