DEWA and Dell Technologies Advance Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen Renewable Integration, Grid Modernisation and AI-Driven Utility Transformation

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Managing Director and CEO HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer met with a high-level delegation from Dell Technologies to discuss expanded cooperation in digital transformation and smart infrastructure solutions for Dubaiโ€™s utility sector.

The delegation was led by Adrian McDonald, President for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Dell Technologies, accompanied by Walid Yehia, Managing Director โ€“ Gulf, and Mohammad Amin, Senior Vice President โ€“ CEEMETA. Senior officials from DEWA also attended, including Marwan Bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future, and Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, CEO of Moro Hub, the digital arm of DEWA.

Discussions centered on accelerating the deployment of advanced technologies to support Dubaiโ€™s smart city ambitions, green energy initiatives, and utility-sector digitalisation. Al Tayer reaffirmed DEWAโ€™s commitment to integrating Fourth Industrial Revolution technologiesโ€”particularly artificial intelligenceโ€”to enhance operational efficiency, productivity and customer experience. He underscored the importance of strong IT infrastructure, big data analytics and AI-driven systems in building resilient and future-ready utility services.

Both sides explored collaboration opportunities in next-generation IoT, edge computing and data center solutions to improve grid reliability, facilitate renewable energy integration, and optimise water management. The talks also covered the use of AI, machine learning and advanced analytics for predictive maintenance, demand forecasting and enhanced customer engagement.

Another key focus was sustainable digital growth, with discussions on adopting green data center technologies, energy-efficient infrastructure and advanced cooling solutions in line with Dubaiโ€™s environmental and sustainability goals.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen cybersecurity frameworks to safeguard Dubaiโ€™s critical utility assets and ensure long-term system resilience.
